Our first wedding anniversary was so special in your lovely home! I must confess that my wife booked the reservation and I hadn't even seen the description or pictures on the web site. What an awesome surprise! We loved the beautiful home and your lovely decorations and attention to detail. We dined like royalty at breakfast and at the great nearby restaurants you suggested. Despite the long, invigorating walks along the beach, I think we gained a couple pounds. Oh well. It's our anniversary! We also really enjoyed the pleasant conversation with you as former San Diegans.

I was headed to South Beach, Oregon for my youngest brothers wedding but like usual I didn't plan ahead far enough to get a motel room so my brother told me that he and his wife had booked a room at the Ona Beach Bed And Breakfast and that I should give them a call right away and see if the had another room to let so I did at 8 PM on a Friday night the night before I needed the room. I reached an answering machine and thought I would never have a chance of getting a room at this late date but Don called back immediately and directed me to their website where I was able to make an immediate reservation for the same bunkhouse as my brother. When we got there and met Don And Cynthia who are the most polite and courteous innkeepers you could ever meet. They showed us to our rooms and social areas the decor was incredible to start with and it just got better from there incredibly soft beds everything was well maintained and very clean with clean fresh smells and a breakfast that was just a work of art from the muffins to the Spinach Quiche. I would like to thank Cynthia and Don for an absolute wonderful stay and will be returning to them the next time I am in the area. Thank You

Orcas!

Yesterday the Orcas that we spotted off our coast the other day took a river cruise! They crossed the bar at Newport and cruised on in, under the Yaquina Bay bridge and up the river several miles! Then they returned to the bay, hung around for several hours putting on a show for everybody who was lucky enough to be there, and finally cruised back out to sea!

We love it! Maybe they'll take up residence! Then we can say that NOAA brought their Orcas with them when they moved to Newport!

Patty Anne and Drew found us! Once again! They were dearly loved repeat customers from the days of Druid House B&B in the Sierra foothills! They were driving by and saw our sign, checked it out on the internet and, when they saw "Cynthia and Don" thought, "Is that the "Cynthia and Don"? So they stopped by to see. Sure enough. Our best ever regulars found us all over again on the Oregon Coast!
